Redo´s

in the end of the course, the student had an extra week to rework on they´re assignments:

Week 01 - Rework the shapes to make bolder designs
Week 03 - Rearrange some minor silhouette problems and tangents
Week 04 - Add personality to the characters
week 05 - rework the line and personality of the Searle´s dragon and redo the body shape of the Jay Ward´s drawing to make it easier to animate.

Character design course at CGMA with Nate Wragg

I recently did the Character Design for animation course with Nate Wragg at CGMA. Each week we had a new assignment and at the end I gathered some images of each assignment that I am posting here like some of my colleagues: Ben Whitehouse, Mari, Jennifer, Neil Housego, Olivier
week 01 - design with simple shapes ( a triangle, a square or a circle)

week 02 - silhouette and tangents

week 3 - A line-up of characters that share a style but remain unique in shape, size and personality
week 4 - Librarians from original shapes
week 5 - story moment: two characters and a bench ( I am not happy with the dog character.
week 6 - drawing in someone else´s style : a dragon both in Jay Ward´s and in Ronald Searle´s style
week 7 - drawing an animal ( I am definitely going to redo this one!
Week 8 - model sheet: drawing a character in both profile and front views.

Os Piratas Ginastas

My kids are at gym class and they put up a little show with they´re teachers. Us, the parents, also had a chance to participate with a little choreography inspired in the pirates theme. I did a little drawing for a souvenir that we did to the parent´s "gym teacher". I had fun doing this and I had the chance to practice the skills I have recently acquire at the Charater Design course at CGMA.
